Pittsfield High School is part of the Pikeland Unit 10 School District in Pittsfield, IL. The high school band consists of 80 talented 9th-12th graders. The bands are directed by Mr. Justin Bangert. About the director
Justin Bangert has been the director of bands at Pittsfield High School since 2003. He is a native of Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School and Quincy University. Justin performs regularly with the Quincy Concert Band, Quincy Park Band, the Big River Swing Machine, the 12th Street Brass Ensemble, The Heidelberg German Band and "Jukebox Reloaded", a seven piece classic rock band. He has also performed with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra and in the pit with the Muddy River Opera Company and Quincy Community Theater. He is active as a private teacher and guest clinician. Justin’s wife Chardy is the band director at Pikeland Community School.
