Marching Saukees debut new uniforms.

The Saukee Marching Band debuted their new uniforms at the Saukee Football opener Friday night.  The uniforms were purchased through donations from the Pikeland Music Boosters and the Pikeland Public Schools Foundation.  The old uniforms had been in use for 19 years and were starting to deteriorate.  The Freshman class added nineteen new members and there were not enough to outfit the entire band.  A donation from the estate of a former Saukee Marching Band member was left to the Foundation to be utilized partially for the PHS Music Dept.  The Directors of the Foundation deemed the need for the uniforms to be a good use of these funds.   The donor requested to remain anonymous but a big round of applause was given prior to the halftime show in the spirit of Saukee Pride to honor and acknowledge the generosity of this former Saukee.
